Heidi Klum is a German model born on 1st June 1973. Erna Klum was her hairdresser's mother. Gunther Klum was an executive for a cosmetics corporation. Heidi's dad was previously a production supervisor for the 4711 company. The city of her birth is Bergisch Gladbach (a city of approximately 100,000 people, located about six miles to the to the west of Cologne), Heidi was raised there. German-American fashion model who is now television host, businesswoman and designer. Karin, a friend of Klum's at the time (18-year-old) student encouraged her to enter an German TV talent competition called Model 92. It was part a Thomas Gottschalk hosted late night talk show. Klum competed against more than 25,000 contestants across Germany and Europe until she was the third semi-finalist. Then, in April 1992, Klum won the top prize of $350,000.
