Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. Buss is the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss is a California born Buss has been raised by an affluent family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and went on to own the Lakers as well as various other sports organizations. The couple divorced in 1972 which made her feel that she was emotionally abandoned. In 1972, at age 19 she started working within the family's company. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades, a professional roller-hockey team. She held the position of President of Great Western Forum prior to being elected vice-president of the Lakers. Buss along with her five sisters inherited his Lakers controlling ownership after the passing of Buss' father in 2013. Every sister was given the same voice. She assumed her duties as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also co-owns Women of Wrestling, a professional organization that has its headquarter at Los Angeles.
